Riley Keough, Elvis’ granddaughter, describes the Graceland foreclosure sale attempt as “fraudulent.”
Actress and heir Riley Keough is battling to stop the sale of Graceland, the famous home of Elvis Presley. In recent court documents, she has branded the foreclosure attempt as fraudulent.

Threat to Graceland

Elvis Presley’s 34-year-old granddaughter Riley Keough has filed a lawsuit to stop Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC from selling Graceland in a non-judicial foreclosure sale set for Thursday, May 23. Promenade Trust trustee Keough claims the LLC may not even be a legal entity.

Theft Claims

In a sixty-page complaint that PEOPLE obtained on May 20, Keough contests the validity of a $3.8 million loan that her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, purportedly took out with Graceland as security. Keough says the loan documents and trust deed are forgeries and are therefore fraudulent and unenforceable.

Seeking Legal Intervention

Keough wants a restraining order to stop Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC and any related parties from moving forward with the deal. She thinks the LLC was formed especially to con Lisa Marie Presley’s heirs and the Promenade Trust.

Doubtful Records

Documentation of the purported loan and deed of trust is included with the case. Keough’s legal team says Lisa Marie Presley’s signature was faked. They further contend that Lisa Marie Presley had never actually met the notary who allegedly witnessed the signing.

Support of Priscilla Presley

Elvis’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley backed Keough’s assertions by captioning an Instagram picture of Graceland with the words “it’s a scam” in large red type. Elvis Presley Enterprises likewise supported Keough’s claims of fraud in a statement to PEOPLE.
